Given my unique journey into motherhood with my firstborn, I was inspired to support other parents of children with Congenital Heart Disease in any way possible. That began with creating Heart Like A Mother in 2021, and remains true today in all my advocacy efforts. My hope in sharing The Boy Born Brave with the world is that it highlights the diversity within the CHD community, brings encouragement to new parents facing a diagnosis for their child, and educates those of us with “normal” hearts.
